Getting to Christ Church by bus is easy, as North Finchley is well served by buses. There is a bus stop on route 263 immediately in front of the church. Bus routes 82, 125, 134, 221 and 460 all stop at North Finchley calling at bus stops on either side of the Tally Ho triangle and at the new North Finchley Bus Station underneath the arts centre. The North Finchley spider map on the Transport for London page clearly shows all these bus routes including details of where the buses stop. Bus timetables for some routes are available to download from the http://www.journeyplanner.org/ site.
Church Car Park
The church car park has room for about 15 cars but in the evening and on Sunday mornings there is usually ample room for parking in the High Road, in Christchurch Avenue and in other surrounding streets.
Daytime Local Parking Restrictions
From Monday to Saturday, availability of parking in adjacent streets is affected by the controlled parking zone in North Finchley. The church is just inside this zone which creates pressure on parking spaces in the area between 09:00 and 17:00, when the parking restrictions apply. The zone ends about 100m south of the church entrance. If you need to park in one of the parking zone bays then you must pay the appropriate fee from one of the 'Pay and display' machines.
By Train
There are no National Rail stations within easy reach. The nearest stations are New Southgate and Mill Hill Broadway (both on First Capital Connect). Both of these stations are served by the 221 bus which serves North Finchley. For train times see the National Rail Timetable.
By Tube
The nearest Underground station is West Finchley on the Northern Line, which is about 6 minutes walk away. Alternatively travel to East Finchley Northern line station and take the 263 bus. Transport for London have a useful interactive Underground and bus map, which will help you to plan your journey to church.
